suck
To be disgustingly disagreeable or offensive. 令人讨厌。
eg.: You suck. 你真讨厌。(生气的时候说)
It sucks. 太令人讨厌了。(表示不喜欢)
suck up     v. (Slang) To behave obsequiously; fawn. 讨好
Monica: Y'know, all these years, I thought you were on my side. But maybe what you were doing was sucking up to Mom and Dad so they'd keep liking you better!

hang out      To pass time idly; loiter: 无所事事,耗时间

这句话里第一个blow-out是指规模很大的聚会,第二个blow-out是指汽车的轮胎炸了。整个句子的意思是:“由于我们车胎炸了,所以我们晚了两个小时才到达查理举行生日宴会的地方。”

老友记》里出现最多的单词大概就是suck,stuff这两个单词了,呵呵

可能我要数异类了,friends的美式幽默看得我想睡觉。。。
